Yes it is from the 1st day of shooting, she has the same hairdo as the first episode. I remember she said she puked in her way to the set because she was really nervious, poor girl!

And I don't think I've seen much praise for her in this thread, but Sevigny was terriffic this ep. I think Alex is my favorite Ryan Murphy lead so far (I never loved Lana, mainly because I found Paulson hard to REALLY root for)

Gaga is doing fine, but certain people are clearly insecure on her acting and come for Chloë (despite Chloë perfectly portraying the cold, detached, and jaded character that Alex is) to try and say "well Gaga's doing better!!"

This. There's no need to go after Chloe's acting just to say Gaga is doing well. Like, why can't we praise and support BOTH women for giving good performances here vs. "Gaga looks so much better because she's acting opposite the talentless Oscar Nominee"

I was very excited for Chloe but I found her to be really bad in the first episodes.
She was great in this one and she's a very interesting character.
Loving one of your children more than the other, filing divorce, etc

Is John actually an alcoholic? Alex even says he wasn't one.

That said, I DO agree with that. I actually think her logic behind the divorce is completely understandable and sympathetic.. but John was clearly 2 minutes from a mental breakdown. I think she should've pushed for him to get himself cleaned up/get some help and then, after he was more stable, filed for divorce or something. Still, it didn't ruin the character for me. Her bit at the start of this episode was terrific, and Chloe is doing a great job
