A 5/22 Preview:Some bones about it.
The two debuts today want to move up. David goes slow, while Bonecrusher takes a different approach. Also, can Joe Budden outwit Play from keeping #1?

Linkin Park "Somewhere I Belong"
Cirrus "Boomerang"

Less than Jake "She's Gonna Break Soon" // It took me several attempts before I found a real MP3 of this song. On the first couple tries, I got a song with a fade-in to the chorus and a loop.

You're in luck Ike. I plan on premiering Less Than Jake tomorrow.
Also, your vote for Cirrus might help them get back on.

Ashanti:Welcome to DRL for 5/22. Today, we have Evanescence debuting on the countdown. Also, Thalia returns to the scene. But first, here's what happened yesterday.
PREVIOUSLY:Play regained #1 after giving it up to Ashanti.

5/22.2 & 5/23 Preview:Ashanti v.s. Play v.s. Thalia v.s. Evanescence
In the first corner, we have the swedish group Play with their jam "I Must Not Chase The Boys".
In the second corner, we have the mexican pop artist Thalia who is trying to go the distance with "I Want You".
In the third corner, we have the New York R&b starlet Ashanti with her sweet song "Rock Wit U".
In the fourth corner, we have the band from Arkansas(I think) who just debuted at #1 today. Evanescence want to defend the top with "Going Under".

30. Cirrus "Boomerang" (8, 7)

28. AFI "Girls Not Grey" (39, 2@1)
27. The Troys "What Do You Do" (13, 14)
26. Finch "What It Is To Burn" (57, 3@1)
25. Avril Lavigne "Losing Grip (Video)" (55, 3@1)-2 *Retires In 5 Days*
This could be Avril's 4th video to retire on DRL. Unfortunately, this did not have a consecutive run. Will she be able to retire at the #1 spot? Anyway, Avril slides back 2 spots to #25.
24. Lucy Woodward "Blindsided" (16, 1@1)-5 (Fall Of The Day)
It appears that this song got blindsided. This song was sitting in the top ten just two episodes ago, and now it falls to a new low of #24. Can it jump back up? Lucy will need a rally for that to happen because she takes the fall of the day drifting back 5 spots to #24.
23. David Banner Featuring Lil Flip "Like A Pimp" (3, 21)-1
The hype for this song might have faded when Bonecrusher debuted. However, don't count Mr. Banner out yet. He has plenty of fight left in him. David B. slides 1 to #23 with this song.
22. Jewel "Intuition" (29, 2)+3
She just won't stay down for the count, but she hasn't gotten to the top yet. Her last video did exceptionally well, but failed to hit #1. Will Intuition be able to find enough power to take #1? Time will tell, as Jewel moves up 3 to #22.
21. Christina Aguilera "Fighter (Video)" (50, 2@1)+
Since her debut, she hasn't fallen lower than #22 with this song. However, she hasn't been able to dominate the countdown with everyone trying to take the top spot. For those who kept track on TRL this week, she barely won the week with 2 straight days at #1. Christina's chances of returning to #1 contention on DRL are low as she stays at #21.
20. Kelly Clarkson "Miss Independent" (39, 1@1)+4
She won the first American Idol, and she isn't about to give up on this countdown either. Kelly makes a 4 spot move forward to #20 to re-enter the top twenty.
19. Melanie Chisholm "Here It Comes Again" (36, 1@1)+1
With all the success she has had, she might just be able to return to top-form on DRL. Melanie makes a one spot rise to #19.
18. Jennifer Lopez "I'm Glad (Video)" (50, 3@1)-2
This video debuted at #1, but hasn't been able to return to the top since her debut with this song. J. Lo makes a 2 spot dip to #18 with I'm Glad.
17. Hilary Duff "Why Not" (62, 5@1)-2
Like J. Lo, this debuted at #1 and spent 4 straight days on top. It debuted when Lindsay Pagano and Jade Anderson were on the countdown with non-singles. Later, Hilary was able to break Lillix's 22 day run at #1, but since then she couldn't manage another day on top. She drops 2 to #17 today.
16. Lucy Woodward "Dumb Girls" (149, 4@1)+2
Other than Ashanti's "Baby", this is the oldest song on the countdown today. Lucy opened with a 2 day run on top, but has gone hog-wild for the next 147 days bouncing all over the place. Lucy goes forward today as she doubles her movement to 2 spots forward and nesting at #16.
15. Shania Twain "Forever And For Always" (22, 2)-5
Her run on DRL has been glorious. She has always spent at least 30 days on with every single song she released before she fell off at some point. Today, she falls 5 with Forever And For Always to #15.
14. Stacie Orrico "Stuck" (103, 3@1)+3
After several days of falling, Stacie makes a comeback by flying 3 to #14. She has one of the oldest songs on the countdown today with Stuck.
13. Sugar Ray "Mr. Bartender (It's So Easy)" (14, 2@1)-4
This is the lowest showing for this song, but they are happy with it. So far, they have spent 10+ days in the top ten and 2 at #1. Today, Mark McGrath and the boys slide back 4 spots to #13.
*COMMERCIAL BREAK*
12. Ashanti "Baby" (373, 58@1)+1 *Retires In 27 Days*
The longest running clip of all-time. This might just retire at #1 if it has enough juice left. Today, Ashanti inches 1 to #12 with Baby.
11. Linkin Park "Somewhere I Belong" (89, 2)+3 *Retires In 11 Days*
Linkin Park will do anything they can to get #1 again. They are currently on pace to do so. Somewhere I Belong moves up 3 to #11.
10. Bonecrusher Featuring Killer Mike "Never Scared" (3, 10)+1
Bonecrusher's DRL debut is looking promising. Today, he climbs into the top ten for the first time by inching 1 to #10.
9. Joe Budden "Pump It Up" (7, 4)-5
This song should be more like Dump It Down. As this song begins to drop, Joe Budden takes a 5 spot dip to #9.
8. Lillix "It's About Time" (38, 23@1)-1
This group is one of the most dominant artists on DRL today. It's About Time by Lillix drops 1 spot to #8.
7. Lillix "Because" (12, 1@1)-2
See #8. Because by Lillix drops 2 spots to #7 as they make a move backward.
6. Evanescence "Bring Me To Life" (139, 9@1)+6 *Retires Tomorrow*
Evanescence make a big 6 spot rise to #6 with Bring Me To Life. This is your last chance to request this song!
5. No Secrets "No Secrets" (31, 2)+3
I made a mistake, that it's not 2@1. This song's peak is #2 and it might just make it to #1, but only if they can break through. No Secrets move up 3 to #5 with the title track to their debut.
4. Evanescence "Going Under" (2, 1@1)-3
This debuted at #1 previously, but couldn't hang on to #1. Evanescence drops 3 to #4 with Going Under, the 2nd clip from their debut album "Fallen".
3. Play "I Must Not Chase The Boys (Video)" (9, 4@1)-1
Play is still doing amazing. This is so far their best song yet on the countdown. The quartet drops 1 to #3 today, but they can handle it.
BATTLE FOR #1:Ashanti v.s. Thalia
2. Thalia Featuring Fat Joe "I Want You" (19, 2)+1
If this mexican girl can keep her momentum going, she might just be able to take over the countdown's top prize. However, for Thalia to win #1, she must stay ahead of Play and Evanescence and must try to pass the undeniable "Rock Wit U" by Ashanti.
1. Ashanti "Rock Wit U" (30, 5@1)+5
This might just be #1 for a long time thanks to the video. She looks so sexy! Ashanti makes a 5 spot leap to #1 with Rock Wit U.
