I'm not too sure if this is the case anymore but Chanyeol and his big doll eyes are so popular with the female demographic in Korea. His 'rapping' or his rapper status is definitely hindering him. His voice is so perfect for the cute romantic cafe duets and solos.
SM it's not too late to reverse his image. He can still be Korea's matured cherub.
