I think most people don't really buy into the headlines for the presidential debates. Rather, they go with their instincts. I know we're all concerned about the bar being set low for Trump and how the media will probably reflect that but with millions of Americans watching and there already being a widening distrust in news media from every side, headlines won't hold much weight. I remember when Obama "lost" the first debate against Romney because he was softer than usual, appeared weaker/more tired than usual, let Romney get away with stuff. But the reality is that many people looked at the facts against Romney despite Obama not dealing with them. I expect something similar except Hillary will obviously be more aggressive. And on top of that she has the laundry list of policies to Donald Trump rhetoric-only wig. The difference will become stark and will definitely sway Americans who are on the fence.
And we all totally forgot about the 1st debate when the "Binders full of women" came up
