And most albums don't get 2 TV ads, it's not "light" promo. It was a heavily promoted release, and there's nothing wrong with that, but why you are intent upon covering that up to make it seem even more impressive is beyond me, it's not like anyone else is coming close to those sells this year

It wasn't heavily promoted. There was no promo for five months straight until the VMAs.
Blurred Lines (far and away the most promoted album of the year)
Overexposed
Unorthodox Jukebox
Girl On Fire
Were all promoted more in 2013. These two will be promoted more for sure:
ARTPOP
PRISM
Then the Eminem album (unlike Britney's, his team knows he's not mentally stable enough to do regular promo so he will have literally 20 commercials again.) + If Bernie finally releases...
It probably won't be among the year's top 10 most promoted albums by the end of 2013.
