The funny this is, if she delieveres with an amazing video, all these people criticizing the song will come running back claiming they loved it since it leaked

And I'm also not trying to be mean or single you out--so I'm sorry.
I know there are more than likely some troll-ish people just trying to **** on Lana and her music, but I can also understand that there are some people legimiately disappointed by the song. I understNd, because even though I like it a lot now, I've been underwhelmed and disappointed, even if just slightly, so far this era for a few reasons. So I get it. As long as its constructive and genuine reasons, and not just "IT SUCKS I HATE IT!", I don't mind seeing people dislike the song

I mean i understand when people who doesn't like her since forever or since BTD will say: "she hasn't evolved!!", "she release the same music all the time!", but they are here since forever so it doesn't really matter, but when this new member came to the forum, they are like: I love Lana so much, but this song is generic, cheap, the beats are bad and it sounds like a demo, so its weird to me lol and i just wanted to point it out .

Have been thinking for a while that Melanie Martinze got inspired by Lana for a few of her stuff. Now listening to this song I swear it's exactly something Melanie would put on her album. This song - HBTB - sounds like anything Melanie have been putting out since Dollhouse.

Lana made room for people like Melanie to play. Same with Halsey, Zella Day, and many others, they owe their record label deals to her first.

I don't dislike the song (It's catchy and it was on repeat all afternoon) but it's missing that Lana's unique cinematic magic  . It's very low key and basic. The melody is great and it gets stuck in your head (she has that magic touch) but the production is underwhelming and nothing special.
I mean....I'm listening to Cruel World for the 1000th time and it's so rich it still makes me want to pump up the volume at maximum, undress in the rain and run on the highway
