I always wanted to get in the the comic world of X-Men but I was scared (50 years of material to catch up??) and didn't know where to begin.

part 2 is even more amazing .... u learn about the whole universe not on X-men's and it totally does justice to the Phoenix Saga not the **** that we have seen from the movies ... and Part 3 will be about The Dark Phoenix

You should read the Phoenix saga. You can download all of it. It's pretty great.

I subscribed to Marvel Unlimited. I pay $9.99 and get almost every Marvel comic ever made in digital. The newer stuff you have to wait on, but it is worth it. I was weary about it because I didn't know where to start, so I just started with what interested me most (Uncanny X-Men (2011-2012)). It was so good and now I'm going back to get the story on that while reading up on the side stuff like X-Men and main Uncanny X-Men series.
