I wish there was a niche radio for Adam, The Scissor Sisters, Sam Sparro, La Roux, Mika, Kylie, The Gossip, Rufus Rainwright and other lgbt artists who radio pays dust too. Sadly, Adam is the ONLY LGBT artist who even gets radio play and that **** is like barely a spin every two days

That's why he fought to have Trespassing released first, then Cuckoo. There's a reason he keeps performing these songs and he keeps paying BTINM dust! He wants Tsp and Cuckoo released sooo bad and it breaks my heart knowing if RCA would've just stuck with the original March 20th date and said **** that NCOE mess, this album couldv'e been a huge breakthrough for him. Trespassing and cuckoo could've been an INTENSE 1-2 punch to radio, the charts and the globe. Ugh, Jimmy Iovine over at Interscope said he wanted to handle this project and tried to buy his contract when he heard some of Trespassing last November but RetardCA said no!
Ugh, I'm having a stan meltdown

Yes, finally Adam's far superior songs are gonna get heard. I think Adam wants to be a top 40 actually. There is nothing sonically glam about Trespassing. He did do his glam period with FYE, but he wants that top 40 radio smash. Even though he had a big hit with WWFM, he still talks about getting that breakthrough hit. I don't think RCA knows what to do with Adam. They want Adam to be this safe, boring mid tempo ballad singer. And if you see Adam live, he's not that type of performer. I've heard some people say Adam is a boring artist, and if you are judging Adam by WWFM and BTIKM, I understand that point of view. There is a disconnect between his image + radio singles and what he actually is. Adam got rid of 19E management because he felt that they didn't know how to handle him, so unless RCA drops him, he's stuck with them. Jimmy has tried quite a few times now to sign Adam, and Sony is not having it. If only Jimmy had seen Adam at The Zodiac Show a little bit sooner. I think Sony knows they can make money off Adam. They said lots of good things about this record having many singles in that Billboard article, if only they were more organized and release the strongest song instead of the weakest.

I don't trust a damn thing RCA has to say about Adam. They pretty much killed his career. Adam is literally the most daring, provocative, and TALENTED male artist alive. RCA is only here for their hot adult/contempoary artists like Kelly and Avril. During FYE, Adam was a gay/glam/syntpop artist with smashes like Fever, Music Again, Strut, and Voodoo all on the same album. The lead single, For Your Entertainment, got good reviews and was predicted to be a hit. It was similar to Sam Sparro's Black and Gold, yet still Adam. The song and video were groundbreaking for their allusions to gay club culture and given the right push could have done alot for gay music artists breaking into the States like Mika, Sam Sparro, Scissor Sisters and even Kylie. He performs it at the AMA's and causes a worldwide media firestorm a day before the album is to be released. So what does RCA do to capitalize on this hype? They pull the damn song and push for an adult contemporary/soft rock/pop song to clear the storm. It worked, he got a platinum top 10 radio smash hit, but at what cost? Adam was a rare star at the time. A polarizing, gay/glam artist with potential out of this world. The album could have made him a megstar yet they only pushed for WWFM and the generic sis If I Had You, while they both became smashes (one a huge hit, one moderate) they sent off the wrong impression to the general public. That Adam was this adult pop artist. Even though IIHY was a step in the right direction, they failed to follow it up with Fever, the song that EVERY music publication that reviewd the album said would smash and that song would define Adam. So what did RCA do? They send the **** over to New Zealand/Australia (where it SMASHED as a radio-only single and STILL gets played today). Europe, Asia and South America would have eaten Fever up. The album sells 1.9 million copes worldwide and we Glamberts say, he'll kill those sales next album.
Now fast forward 2 years later and Adam has created an amazing pop/funk/rock/dance album which got critical universal acclaim and created a buzz on the net not seen for an album except Adele's 21. The release was supposed to be March 20th, 2012. Perfect spring date to build off of and ATTACK radios. Adam decides to play a few songs from the album, to his friends, journalists, bloggers etc. The songs that were getting crazy buzz were Trespassing, Shady, Cuckoo and Underneath. So what does RCA do? They release the most boring, 2005, cliche ass ******** ever recorded. Better Than I Know Myself flopped to the high heavens and back on the charts AND radio. I was hoping they would take the hint that NO ONE IS HERE FOR SAFE ADAM. I thought they would go and smash the charts with Trespassing or Cuckoo, (considering he's been performing those two songs at EVERY promo stop). Adam needed a smash hit to sell this album worldwide and finally break the music scene, and we were for SURE it would be one of those two songs. And so what does RCA do? They push the album back 2 DAMN MONTHS to record a generic, 2011,Jessie J, Marina, Kesha leftover. Never Close Our Eyes didn't make a dent ANYWHERE except the UK and that was only because we Glamberts led a ****ing campaign to get him in the top 10. They waited two damn weeks to send it to radio and by that time, it was too late. On Trespassing release day, the song wasn;t even in the TOP 100 on Itunes. But guess which songs were (Trespassing, Running and oh my god, CUCKOO!!!). They **** up the single by purging it on radio and now we're left with an album that had a Metacritic score of ****ing 80 at number #181 on Billboard. The album that Adam literally poured his heart, soul and emotion to for 2 long years, the album that critics around the world hailed as "the savior of pop music", FLOPPED! So what does Adam do? He goes on a controversial but career-defining concert run as the lead singer of the most iconic band of all time Queen! The buzz from that has him appearing all over tabloids, newspapers, blogs EVERYWHERE in the world. So what does RCA decide to do to play off that hype? They pull his song from radio! All because they don't know how to promote a gay male pop artist. They're so afraid of what would happen to their precious "RCA IMAGE" to break an artist like Adam. And for that reason I hope the rumors of him getting dropped are true. He's a grammy nominated worldwide star with a 4 octave vocal range, unmatched stage presence, a 74 metacritic score, and respect and praise from LEGENDS such as Elton John, Queen (Brian May and Roger Taylor), Meatloaf, Rob Halford, George Michael, Madonna, Nile Rogers, Slash, Chaka Kahn and even Michael Jackson wanted to work with him on the This Is It tour. He's a superstar and I hope he moves from the US and makes a name for himself Abroad like Kelly Rowland did. He needs to go somewhere where they respect the man who was once called "the greatest vocalist to ever walk this Earth". I have no respect for RCA for what they did to my fave's career. I hope he never releases a damn thing for them until they give him the artistic freedom and budget he deserves.

Welcome to the thread
I'm King Glamazon, commander in chief of the Glambert Army. My sis Glam is vice-president (since she's always in charge when I'm banned ). And the rest of the Glamberts are amazing as well. It'd not that many of us only Adam fans, but alot of members stan for him as well.

Well.... I won't touch that second paragraph because that was perfect. No lies or argument there.
About not trusting what RCA has to say, I really get that, but did RCA lie when they said it was a great album? That has many singles? That should be pushed well into 2013? It could be lip service but its all true. Now, FYE, the single is just ok. The song is made better by that video. Amazing video. It got good reviews and by the time of the AMA performance was already not doing that well on radio. And there is zero chance, none, that radio would have continued to support that song after that performance + lets not even take into account the lyrics of that song sung by a gay man on US radio. That AMA performance.....it was almost over before it started. In the short term it was a disaster for his career. And RCA switching immediately to WWFM saved the era. It was the right move, its not one of my favs at all, but if they didn't switch, FYE, the single and album would have tanked and he would have been dropped. And it (WWFM) actually was suppose to be the first single, but Adam wanted FYE. If he sang that at the AMA's no one would have paid attention. I agree with you about sending the wrong impression to radio and choosing safe songs. They don't know how to market Adam nor do they know what to do with him. They throw safe song after safe song to radio and hope they play it. At what cost was WWFM to Adam's career? Not a big cost evidently since its cousin BTIKM flopped harder then ever, and you know RCA was sending that to replicate the success of his biggest hit. However, Fever. It was Adam's fans choice for the follow up to WWFM, but, you know and I know RCA wanted to send that to radio and were told NO. Radio straight up told RCA they will not play that song because of that little male pronoun. And people can forget about Naked Love for this exact reason. Australia is simply more open minded and acceptable then US radio, that's why they got Fever. I would not be here for Music Again as a single. I already get annoyed by some Adam fans that want him to do rock, and that song would have sent them into overdrive. Voodoo remains a flawless song that deserved to be on the album and not just the remix album. Sleepwalker should have been a single, but RCA wanted to end the era after IIHY and if you believe them, so did Adam. They also said Sleepwalker didn't test well with radio either. We got it as a single in Canada, but Sony didn't support it so it didn't do much. RCA did a better job with FYE then Trespassing, obviously. It was easy for them because the hype, and the buzz and the relevance was there. And they actually got him played on the radio. They can't buy radio play now. This time there was little effort for a far superior album.

Does he have a new single out yet? This album is my favorite of this year (behind Electra Heart) and it's filled with so many hits. If Runnin' doesn't get released

It sucks knowing that given the right push and single choices, Adam could've been the male Gaga in terms of stardom. He has the unmatched talent, the charisma, and the incredible music to do so. That's why I hope he gets the Idol job and I hope Queen brings the show here so he can start getting that exposure again. Ughhh I'm just so frustrated! He went from being the next George Michael to the next Boy George because of mishandled eras!

Yas Babyboy, this album could have slaaaaayed worldwide
But at the end of the day what matters is the music and he stands ABOVE the competition unrivaled. He's gonna be that artist that's ALWAYS making music but never has that huge breakthrough era.

Another thing. Adam was so hyped to be the one to break the gay barrier. Back in 09, radios were saying HELL NO to "FYE" the single and one of his radio promo heads we're going to go public with radio's homophobia with Adam in the same way radio did Michael Jackson. They were going to push Clear Channel to put this in power rotations around the world. This was supposed to happen a day afyer tbe AMA's performamce because they KNEW what Adam was going to do. Why do you think ABC hyped that **** to the high heavens and gave him the closing spot???!! Rca were too scared to damage their reputation so they cancelled the single and radio ambush. Stupid bitches missed a moment that could've altered gay culture FOREVER. Ughhhh
