I love Rihanna and all of her albums, she's one of my faves and I've only watched some videos from the first show and only "What's My Name" from the second one and so far, I'm pretty dissapointed. I understand that some of you are saying "It's only started. She was sick. It will only get better", but I don't think that when she is healthy again, suddenly dancers will pop up during "What's My Name", for example. If she comes here I'll definitely go see her and I'm sure I'll have the best time, but it's only because I love her and her music, I still think she could do much better. What's saving this show is the fact that Rihanna has one of the best catalogs in pop music, that alone makes the show enjoyable. I'm still pissed at her not even trying with the bridge on WMN

You guys are so over dramatic. From a critical discussion standpoint the dramatics is fine, but it's foolish to think you're really gonna sit there and critique her when you're actually there.

Besides if you're seeing her after that little break the tour has in May (i think) maybe you'll get a different setlist.

Every time I watch tour videos I wonder why the setlist is what is is. The only good things are act 1 & 2 everything else is ******. I can't believe she made her dance portion a non factor of the tour. Only rihanna

There was still a slight rasp in Rihanna’s voice but it hardly impeded her during the one hour and forty minute set. Opening with “Phresh Out The Runway,” and “Birthday Cake,” Rihanna showed off the sass and swagger that is part of her universal appeal.

While there were still tickets available for the concert during the day on Friday, by the time the singer hit the stage there were very few empty seats in the house.

This was the type of show you would expect from a Grammy star who sits in the same stratosphere as singers like Alicia Keyes, Beyonce, and J-Lo. Rihanna’s performance was certainly on par with the performances those stars can deliver.

“This is happening,” Rihanna said, at the outset of the show. “The Diamonds World Tour is real, right now.”

The singer seemed genuinely thrilled to be on stage, flanked by a full band featuring guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, and a bevy of dancers. Rihanna showed off a great collection of boots, jumpsuits, and an evening gown or two during the course of the night.

The performance wasn’t short on content as she worked up 26 songs, mixing in reggae like “Man Down” and rock’ n’ roll like “Rockstar 101” with hip hop takes on “Rude Boy” and “What’s My Name.”

Rihanna offered up several songs from her recent “Unapologetic” release including “Numb,” “Pour it Up,” “Jump” and “No Love Allowed.”

She referred to “Umbrella” released in 2007 as “old school” and during “We Found Love,” she made her way out into the audience to sing from the arena floor. Rihanna turned up the heat with “S&M” and finished off “Don’t Stop the Music” with a Michael Jackson-inspired riff.

She closed the show with “Where Have You Been,” and returned to encore on an elevated stage with “Stay,” proving her voice is ready to go the distance. She ended the night by telling the audience they inspired her through all her trials and tribulations and closed with “Diamonds.”

I blame the low quality iPhone videos and the ones that are under a minute. I'm going on Monday and I have a good cam that takes 1080p video. I'll record a few so hopefully it'll lift the negativity around here.

Lol, the only good thing about this tour is her vocals are better than her previous tours this time. We drag her for poorly directed show that's all.

One of the things I would like to point out is that the videos are zoomed in on her and (most of them) do not show the epic screens above the stage.

The tour could drastically be improved by simply adding dancers to most numbers. Theres only so much entertainment from watching Rihanna bop around awkwardly on the stage all night by herself.

I'd change so much of it. "We Found Love" should be the last or 2nd last song in the style that she done it at X Factor UK, fireworks and all. Her entrance and opening should be better too.
