If you're not going to represent all groups affected by tragedy, you shouldn't do it for any groups. But that's just my humble opinion.

I don't know if I should open a thread about it so I'll post it here:
All people who aren't from the US (those who aren't able to go there and help victims) and want to show support are welcome to have the rainbow flag in support of the victims, killed by homophobia

Huh? The Belgian flag nor the Ethiopian flags were up in the banner during the bombings or mass killings in either country respectively earlier this year. And plz don't see this post as warn-able (insensitive, flamebait, etc).. It's merely pointing out the obvious lack of equality. ATRL is comprised of many backgrounds that are effected by these tragedies, and all should be represented equally, not just went the majority of its users of a similar background are effected. The rules for sexism, racism, homophobia, etc should really be tightened, or at least educating users on these social issues should be in place.

The moderators have no control over this, it's entirely down to the admins. If the admins are busy (as they have been with the upgrade) or simply not online for a period of time, then the banner won't get changed - there's nothing we can do about that.
We're not teachers, we're not here to educate our members. To try and bring this up during today's situation is disrespectful.

This is very telling. And that's all I'm gonna say.

I just wanted to come in here to thank all the mods for this weekend. I realize that it's been a super trying time with all the trolls reacting to the senselessness happening in the world, but thank you for trying to get rid of them and for making ATRL better.

I don't get why we get warned for saying an artist is untalented. Being untalented is not an insult, I'm untalented too.
Are we supposed to lie?

I didn't report you, but the mods did the right decision obviously.
You went into the thread just to call him untalented then made another post co-signing him not being talented, saying he can't sing, he can't perform, can't write, and he doesn't have a good album.
You were more worried about dragging Drake's artistry then discussing the Billboard 200. It was fishing for an argument, and therefore flamebait. Not to mention you have a history of dislike towards him. Own up to the trolling.

Not when the thread title literally refers to Drake being talented. Threads in the chart section are supposed to be objective.
I simply disagree with that and that's all. It was on-topic.
I don't have many WP's so I don't care that much, but it's something the Mods should think about... Imo people should only be warned when they insult an artist, not when they simply state a negative opinion.

If I go into a thread that states 'Nicki Minaj looking pretty' then write 'She isn't pretty though' and then co-sign another post saying 'Nicki isn't pretty. She has no beauty, no looks, and isn't slightly cute' even if it's my opinion it's still obvious flamebait/trolling.
People have been warned in the past for also saying '___ isn't talented' and 'Talent didn't win' when someone they don't like accomplishes something. It's not new.

I don't think you should get warned for that.
It's only trolling if you spam your negative opinion everywhere. Otherwise it's just an opinion.
I don't see how this is a music forum when we can't even discuss whether an artist is talented or not. The "she isn't pretty" comment could be considered uncalled for, but as this is a music forum we should be able to express our opinions on music/musicians as long as they aren't insulting.

Yeah, it would be great if ATRL could be a place where people could engage in civilized discussion and express counter-opinions with respect, unfortunately it's not because people live for the drama.
If you'd like to further discuss your warning, submit an HR request.

Why would I use SYG for a negative opinion? People constantly make threads like "worst song out of these" or "worst album/artist" and they always stay open.
People just have this idea that calling an artist untalented is an insult, but it's really just an opinion.
I always try to express my opinion respectfully, but I really don't know what I have to say when I don't think an artist is talented. I've had this issue for a while now.

Can you get a WP if you constantly make a point to call a member by the wrong pronoun ?
