Yeah, I was kind of mad when we found out the Stronger track list too. I knew like 10 of the songs already

I guess that's what I get for being a bad fan and listening to all of the leaks hahaha.

But tbh, I never loved the album that much. The whole thing seemed to safe and like Kelly on autopilot. She didn't try anything new or outside of the box. So I really hope that her next album is totally different and shows different sides of her. WIR was great in that way, so I'm excited to see how album #6 goes

Well let's be completely honest tho. There are some tracks on the album that sound like nothing she ever done before like MKIA, Dark Side, You Love Me and Stronger. I still don't understand to this day why people call Stronger SInce U Been Gone part three because they sound nothing a like. Only thing that is similar is the build of the song. Midtempo verses and a huge chorus and bridge but that's like almost every Kelly song.

YLM was really the only different, unique sounding song on Stronger with the whole 90s disco vibe. MKIA sorta too with its R&B.

It was also more about the same theme being sung over and over again. When you sing about the same theme for years, the way you sing is going to sound the same too, and it was getting pretty exhaustive.

Yep. And a lot of people forget that Already Gone was really the big hit of the AIEW era. Suck was her comeback but peaked very fast and didn't give the album any legs imo. I remember the sales being at 400k right before the release of Already Gone. The enormous HAC/AC success of Already Gone made the album almost sell platinum. And even though the Halo thing happened, it still managed to peak at #5 on Pop. Imagine if Already Gone was released before Halo

Our rate proves the raw power of Already Gone - it's immortalized close to her My December / Breakaway material. It remains to be seen if "Wrapped in Red" (the track) will age nearly as well.
