Kelly was pretty shocked at this as well. She even said she cried a little during Dark Side cause she got emotional with the reception. She also said something like "Umh Brazil, whaaat? I come all the way from Texas and you know my songs?". She kept making OMG faces all the time when we sang the lyrics back to her. She also mentioned something like "I can't believe it's been 10 years and I've never been here before!"
Her voice was in such a great shape! At first she started more cautious, not doing too many runs or crazy notes, but as the concert progressed she started with those, and omg, I got goosebumps countless times.
You could easily tell the crowd was more into her than Jennifer Lopez, which was shocking to me. Maybe because J. Lo seemed too coreographed while Kelly was natural and spontaneous. I mean, they're different artists, different type of concerts etc.. Loved both though.
Breakaway was definitely the highlight of the show. I like the song and all, but if I could've picked the setlist before the concert, I would've probably left it out. I had no idea it would be so emotional though. The crowd was really into it, singing every word back to her, it was very powerful. I couldn't help but cry, lol.
She said she decided to sing I Do Not Hook Up because it was a fun song, which I loved. When I was getting there I talked to a friend that the song was fun and I wish she would do it, but we checked some previous setlists and she wasn't performing it. Great surprise.
I really wish she had more time, it seemed to go by so quickly
To sum it up, it was a great experience. I can't believe I finally saw Kelly live. Along with Björk (lol I know) she's my favourite artist right now. I caught myself just staring at her, smiling, not even singing along many, many times.
He stans for Queen Mariah but, as you can see, loves Kelly too.
Something's up with the Mediabase site and I can't get the adds for today yet I want to see if WPLJ has added it yet or if any other big pop station jumped on today instead of tomorrow.
I spammed the hell out of her twitter for her Stronger tour asking for You Found Me but she never sang it. Maybe it's cuz I asked it to be mashed up with Edge of Glory.
