She's lucky Stronger happened just before the huge decline we've seen recently.

I think if What Doesn't Kill You was the lead single it could have stretched to 200k opening week.

I think 150k is more reasonable for the next album (if sales don't pick up).
But then again..... it all depends on the quality of the lead single and the amount of promotion. So anything could happen.

I haven't been paying enough attention to what albums are selling at all these days to even make a guess. What are people opening with? I just want to know if she's currently recording or what.

That makes me think of opening weeks of GHC1 and WIR: GHC1 sold about 75k the first week and debuted only at #11. WIR sold 2k less and its debut was #3.

Thanks for the info, boo. So we can expect Kelly to open with about 100k? She better B-R-I-N-G it for the music videos and promo. Though, even as I type it, I know it isn't going to happen. We all know Kelly well enough by now to know that she simply will never put in the effort the other girls do with the videos and what not. I guess my biggest hope is that she really utilizes her promo for once. She usually has great promo opportunities but doesn't always capitalize.

The (aborted) WIR promo plan seemed to suggest she would be down for a real plan of attack to support a project she really loved. I just hope she is really invested in the next pop album and in seeing it succeed. The doubts, tho...

I had no idea how hated the Stronger album is until I joined ATRL. Stronger is easily my favorite album of Kelly's. Sure enough it could've went without Einstein and The Sun Will Rise but it's a solid effort. It was good enough to win that Grammy though!!! I don't get why y'all hate it so much. It got me through a tough time back in 2011-12

It has some gems and the rest is trash. No decent songs like Addicted, Hear Me that are neither trash nor smashes. I wasn't pleased when Stronger came out, really.

They're just pressed it slayed and won Grammy.

TBH, it aged terribly. Although I really loved it when released, I barely listen to it anymore. It has few standout tracks but overall it's rather mediocre. I don't get how it won.
