This is my first post here and I'm a huge Lana fan too. She's my everything and the only artist I care about here and I agree 100% with your post. As soon as those "haaa iiii haaaa" started at the beginning I was like "ugh what's that? It sounds so cheap". It gets better when she starts singing (she's my favourite singer

) but the song still sounds like a demo to me.
People were saying there's a beat drop OMG!!1!! before it leaked so I was expecting a phat beat and it's like nothing, you can barely notice it
Listen to something like Blue Jeans and it still sounds fresh today (and probably will for a million years

). Flipside and Florida Kilos have way more going on and they are just bonus tracks!
Even her unreleased demos like Velvet Crowbar, Hollywood and Hollywood's Dead have better production than that (they are amazing)
HBTB is still good and catchy but there's no sparks, it sounds outdated. I'm praying it's a demo and the actual song destroy us all on Monday

Like that's the same instrumentation a black rapper like Lil Wayne or Flo ri da would use in 2007. Like seriously I'm not trying to drag her since I stan hardcore for her but It's my opinion... I honestly think any song on BTD is better produced than this (Let alone UV). And it hurts me because I don't want to think like this because I love her and I want to love the song but I can't. The last time Lana made me feel something was when I heard Brooklyn Baby. I hope this song doesn't define the rest of the album production wise. And it's weird because Honeymoon the song is produced extremely well. The breathing outro is very cool.
Don't drag me I'm just discussing this song.
