It's weird, we haven't had any Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood contestants on any American singing competition in years.
Cause they get too caught up in being a carbon copy of someone more famous (Whitney, Mariah, Carrie, etc.) and their performances largely consist of karaoke.
