Wat? Jeffree Starr, no i do not want him on the album please.
Also im kinda disappointed with the news lately, i was thinking Ke$ha was going to go in a more Cyndi Lauper mix Iggy Pop mix Dance/Pop direction, it seems like she is going full on rock, if i liked rock'n'roll music i would support a rock band, however I'm not judging anything till i hear something, but like i said, I'm going to be disappointed if its a lot of guitars and drums and bass

Honestly, if she has luke behind all of these tracks, there is no way thats its going to be full blown rock.

I hope so, I'm just disappointed, there was just so much more she could of done in the pop/dance route, so many other producers to work with, I'm just disappointed that its not going to be like that, of course ill support anything she puts out, except if its some gay arse disney track, which would NEVER happen

but she should also keep her word. I still feel like its going to be pop influenced rock, but I am glad she is trying to change it up. If done right I feel like it could be amazing!

I think the only thing that is going to change with Ke$ha is the production. She'll still do the talk-singing with the catchy hooks, but it will be over more rock-inspired beats instead of an electro bass-line.

Honestly, I worry that Ke$ha doesn't have the voice necessary to pull off rock music lead vocals.

She actually has a surprisingly strong voice when it comes to rock and country, did you hear her on What Baby Wants, in her verse her voice was really really strong

Obviously, you haven't heard her unreleased songs.
She brings it.

I just think of Bonnie Tyler when I think of the female equivalent of **** rock. Ke$ha doesn't have a bad voice, but she's far from a Bonnie Tyler.
Ah well. I'm probably (and hopefully) off base.
Her tone would fit it very well though, I'd guess.

Wayne Coyne about Ke$ha and their song!
Wayne Coyne saying only the best about Ke$ha and giving a little information on their collab track '2012'.
Tl;dr warning if you want to read the full article! Here's just two small snippets, interview taken from Rolling Stone.
Quote:
As a member of the media, I feel it’s my responsibility to make sure you’re not using this blood for nefarious purposes. (The interviewer is referring to the blood that's being used for the limited edition of the Flaming Lips' new album.)
What would be nefarious?
Like if you were intending to build an army of Ke$has.
I would love to do that! To tell you the truth, the world would be a better place if there were armies of Ke$has out there. Being around her and knowing her, I’ve learned just how awesome she is. If more musicians and artists could be like her and stop being so superior and precious and entitled, art would be so much more fun.
[...]
We won’t hear “2012” until the record is officially released on Record Store Day. But like a lot of music fans, I’m not especially patient. Can you give us a hint of what it sounds like? Maybe hum a few lines?
Sure. Well, it starts with this very strange sample that we got off of a toy that someone sent me. It’s a sample from the Doctor Who television show from the ’70s, and it’s this very strange little robot saying “You must be upgraded! Upgrading is compulsory!” It’s funny, but it’s also weirdly relevant to today. You get the iPhone and the apps and everything needs to be constantly upgraded. So the first line of the song is something I wrote for her to sing, and it goes (in a Ke$ha falsetto) “It’s 2012, I think we’re going to hell!” And then the robot voice goes (in a robotic voice) “You must be upgraded.” It’s a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to have people hear it.

Trying new stuff might rarely really pay off commercially unless it's actually new and unheard of and great, but it usually pays off for the artist in the long run because she'll get new inspiration and get to know a lot of people she wouldn't have met if she wasn't expanding her horizon.
Her own album isn't going to sound like this anyway, lbr.
