This is basically where I'm at at this point. As a fan, this album campaign has been an exhausting ride.

I actually think Sparks has the best chance out of all 3 to appeal to radio. It has a sound that the general public are more inclined to listen to. Just look at the audio views on Youtube. Sparks has already passed AAY and AAY has been out for 8 months.

I don't think she did either. Over the last year it's become obvious that she wants say in how often she works and another album would place her in a binding contract effectively forcing her to do more work.

Then she'll say again that being a mom and doing Younger didn't allow her to properly devote her efforts to music. I've noticed with Hilary - and really this is a problem that all celebrities have - that when she isn't as successful, whether in music or acting, that it is always the industry's fault. She had a string of truly terrible movies after she stopped doing mainstream films - from the offensive Materials Girls to the garbage that was Stay Cool but she would never state the reason that the roles dried up is because she chose the wrong parts or that she is a better suited actress for comedy. Same thing will happen with music - there is a stigma with Disney stars but if all of the other Disney stars can break it and work their way onto radio then so can she. I just don't see her taking accountability for this album's sales if it flops.

Is there a point in attempting to request Sparks on mainstream pop stations if there is no adds date for them? I know adds dates are a general "when to start playing" date but will Pop play it if it only has a Hot AC date?

I feel like after this album is released, she's going to decide to stay with RCA or get out of the contract (if it even required more than one album) dependent on the varied success / acclaim. If it doesn't go well for her, I feel like she may start funding her own music and just release free EPs or mixtapes (Do pop artists release mixtapes?) for her fans. She always talks about how much she enjoys music and that it's a great experience for her. That way, she'd be able to please both her fans with music while also allowing them not to expect anything to come from the releases and also pleasing herself and allowing her to escape into songwriting and such.
