No other song has made such an impact on the advancement and evolution of civilization. It has single handedly dictated the course of human culture since 2005. None of us would be the same without it. You can't burn what's already ingrained within your mind, soul, and body, and the sooner you accept it the easier it will be for you from here on.

Although Charmbracelet is often slated by fans and critics, Through The Rain is actually my favourite Mariah song of all time.

Mainly because of the personal meaning to me. That song means more to me personally than any other song that I've ever heard. When I was little I was very close to my grandfather, and he bought me an extraordinary amount of music. Still to this day, I think that my interest and obsession with music stems from how much music I experienced when around him. I still have literally hundreds of CD's that he bought me over the years, most of which I never listen to but I can't seem to part with them.

He bought me the Charmbracelet CD, and when I used to play it he loved Through The Rain, and that song always stuck out the most and reminded me of him.
He passed away when I was 7, and at the time a lady said to me do I have a song that reminds me of him, and I said yes it is Through the Rain by Mariah Carey, and she said that whenever I miss him I should listen to the song, and I will feel close to him and know that he's watching over me. I know she only said it to me to try and comfort me as a child, but still to this day - 11 years later I carry that with me and every time I play that song I feel 6 years old again and like I'm with my grandad. It's sort of fitting that the song is about getting through inner struggles and finding strength within yourself.

If one day by some turn of events I happened to meet Mariah Carey, I would thank her for giving me a song that makes me feel like I never truly lost my grandfather.

Charmbracelet saving lives time and time again.
