Like you said, the first single just has to be ear candy. And honestly, I don't think anyone should expect the hype for another GaGa single like that unless she's been gone for over a year.
And I doubt all her singles will flop like MTN has/will for the rest of her career. She too much of a phenomena right now to even have any belief of that happening. I mean, everyone on this site went ape **** when GaGa wore a wig resembling the fame. If her music is more for everyone on the next album and she doesnt pull all this mermaid and alien stuff, the public will open up again or at least say, "I still don't like her, but I like her music again"
That'd be horrible, but as long as she doesn't in any way shape or form front load her sales. It should be okay. She needs to focus on allowing radio to build up. Not just pay radios to play her song.
