One thing is for sure none of my friends or my entourage knows about younger (and I have a few friends that are aware of almost all the US shows, well... at least the mainstream ones).

Her fanbase secured the nomination but she wouldn't have even been shortlisted without Younger. That is something that should be kept in mind.
You're also supposed to compare it to other TV Land shows because that's the network it airs on. Lol it's making its way to other countries (UK in one week) so it's not like it's staying completely local.
Another important thing to remember is that Hot In Cleveland was TV Land's signature show throughout its entire run but it's viewership went from an average of over TWO million viewers (with an average of a 0.6 18-49 demo which is really old skewing) in its first few seasons to 0.16 in the 18-49 demo in its last season (with under one million viewers). If that doesn't say something about how the ratings have fallen.
Younger (on TV Land alone) is pretty much on par with Awkward and Finding Carter on MTV, two of their more popular shows, except for in the demo.

There is little to no chance of her reviving the BIBO era as is. They'd have to do a rerelease or start anew. After this devastating era, I would go with the new option. |

so just because it has better ratings than the others TV Land's (LOL) show, it is a hit show? 
It's a great show and i love her character but you should stop being delusional and apologize her for everything and come to every of the others fans - especially the non-US ones, it's getting annoying since is not the first time.
But probably you feel free to do that just because you are one of the members of HilaryNews and have met Hilary many times.

I'm glad other people are finally responding 
Him and his bunch need to stop being delusional and open their eyes.
Hilary isn't perfect Lizzie McGuire anymore and her career is pretty ****ed up.
And HilaryNews doesn't make them superior to other fans, American or not.

Here's where State of Georgia was mentioned for all those asking. Followers on social media are cute but pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things unless you're a very young-skewing show.

That is how you begin examining ratings, based on other shows on the channel. You can't really compare ratings for TV Land with FX or a network like that, because they have a larger audience. Why do you think it was renewed if it was such a so-called flop for the network?  I briefly mentioned a few posts ago that the ratings between Awkward from MTV and Younger are pretty similar except that Awkward has a better demo rating than Younger because it's on a younger-skewing network. Look up the facts before judging based on millions of viewers because the demo is what's important to advertisers and Younger is doing just fine.
And nnnnn; at y'all thinking I see Hilary all the time. The last time I've seen her was 2007. Avery has NEVER met her. Only Josh sees her once or twice a year so goodbye at that failed logic. Do you think we haven't complained because we have PLENTY in our private chats. But we also know how to think logically based on facts, not on our own disappointments concerning Hilary.

And where did I talk about State of Georgia's ratings ? I was clearly talking about followers on social media. Oh so now social media are irrelevant ? Who/What is relevant then ? maybe Hilary

Not that social media numbers really matter, but on Twitter:
Blindspot on NBC only has 31.6k followers (6k more than Younger) and is watched by about 8 times the audience that watches Younger thanks to its lead-in The Voice.
The CBS show, Limitless only has 10k followers and is watched by about 7 times the audience that watches Younger as well. To be fair, CBS has always skewered older than NBC, ABC, and Fox.
Both are on the four major network channels while Younger is on a network that was aimed at an older audience and is just now trying to break the barriers for a younger audience. It's surpassed every other show on TV Land in social media numbers, even Hot In Cleveland.
But this argument is kinda getting ridiculous sis.

Then why do you come at fans who express their disaproval of how Hilary's career is managed?

I know this wasn't addressed to me, but for me, it's not really that you are expressing disapproval with Hilary's career, but the fact that you feel the need to trash Younger and Hilary's acting abilities in general. Your rant, calling Hilary a "flop actress" in the other thread was extremely extra. It makes me wonder why you even stan for Hilary in the first place, sis...

Nobody talked about Hilary's acting skills or abilities. But if she's a good actress that doesn't mean she's a successful one. And I'm sorry to let you know this but all her movies during the last 8 years flopped HARD so I think it's safe to call her a "flop actress".

Some of you all are NOT making any sense of at all and I don't really see why Younger is getting bashed the way it is when Hilary had PROPER time (a whole summer) to promote her music and didn't, lol. It's actually quite comical to see fans label the show has a flop, bring up the ratings, and discuss Hilary's acting when the show is simply not the problem at all.
Look at it like this, if we didn't have Younger in the picture and Hilary didn't promote her music, we would have absolutely nothing at all to look forward to and people would be complaining wondering why Hilary is not working, Hilary is working and you all still complain, it's not the show's fault that her era didn't get proper promotion.

Some of y'all are being messy as fuk right now.
Like someone already stated, Younger is seriously the best thing that has happened to her career in years. We may not be seeing it now, but it is going to open up new opportunities for her. Also clearly she's doing something right if she even got suggested to be a PCA nom.
I feel like as fans we were really blessed this year, we got some new magazine covers from her, a FULL new album, tv appearances/performances plus just last month a new song.
Also you can tell she genuinely likes working on Younger, and the majority of fans love the show. She's currently working, so what is the problem?
