His debate skills are overrated.

He never even really debated. The field was so crowded that he was able to get off some zingers then just fall back into the crowd.

All the online polls said he won but his fans are rabid like Bernie's, so those didn't mean much.

Marco won most (actually, all minus the first two) of the debates
Trump had a couple of soundbites but faded into the background whenever it got to policy.

I don't think Trump can really survive with zinger and one liners for an hour and a half, but I'm open to being surprised. Sarah Palin looked stupid trying fill up time with word salad in '08, and Trump is dumber than her. The town hall debate should be his worst one because people usually expect substantive answers to their questions in those.

Trump has never debated one on one, and he's never had to talk policy and plans for an hour with no interruption and cheering from the crowd. He's only "presidential" when he has a teleprompter. He's literally going to have to think of stuff off the top of his head, and he's for sure to go off topic as he has done with entire life when he's casually discussing a topic.

The CIC forum was a disaster and this one will be a bigger mess for him. I don't see him winning if he doesn't really shock us all with some concrete and viable plans.

The media can only go so far in saying "he turned up on time, how presidential!" but if he actually surprises.

Remember, it's a 50-state strategy; she wants to double down on states already showing her ahead and fight until the bitter end in swing states. I bet this week she's perfecting her debate technique and after the debate Team Hillary will hit the map HARDER than we've seen.

The sad truth is, if the election were held today I'm more than confident Hillary would win. The biggest problem is the amount of time between today and the election. So much time.... And I think its more beneficial to Trump because it gives him time to clarify what he's said/soften his positions and etc.

Yes, they're not getting complacent, but her voters are. Go ask any of your friends "who do you think will win." I bet you they'll say Hillary. That attitude makes it seem like they don't need to go out and vote and that's how she could lose.

But really how much more can he improve with voters unless he pulls a surprising performance at the debates?

There were thousands of registration events held just this weekend. Her supporters will go out to vote. You're acting like if a pollster asked me who would win and I say "Oh. Trump."

I don't think they're a good thing at all tbh... Just shows how weak she is right now. She needs to do something to instill interest in her as a candidate.
