I remember in high school my English teacher was giving us vocabulary words to study. When she said "Ironic" and someone mentioned the song she went bat-**** crazy about how nothing she says in the song was ironic and she messed up a whole generation's understanding of irony. The look on her face when I explained to her that the whole point of the song was that the
absence of irony is what makes the song ironic...
