I think the documentary should have focused on teen idol stans in general. It's not just one band, it's the obsessive teenage girls. This just makes 1D look bad when there's Justin Bieber, etc. One Direction really is the tip of the iceberg.

I really want to watch it now after this drama.
But I agree, the focus of the documentary is obviously the fans, rather than the actual artists, so they could have shown 1D/JB/Disney fans, etc.

All you have to do is look at the size of Biebers base here on ATRL to know that 1D has vastly more impact
