im team moonlight i just dont think ali's performance seems awardsworthy (judging by the trailer)

when the first reviews came out, the three actors + holland were the most raved

their token straight openminded black character winning is kinda offensive

No. I watched it yesterday and he definitely deserves it. He was great I just didn't like that he died . And I hate some of you always being that token black ****. Someone gets recognized for their work and people say stuff like that. I'm glad for him and hope he wins.

im not saying that a black actor shouldn't win but the academy is obviously scared and they're not giving it to a black gay character. so they're gonna give it to a straight openminded black character, which is still better than nothing but w/e

Talking about that and not just the academy but all critics/awards I'm surprised the guy who played grown up black is not getting any love he was really good! And even more cuz he wasn't a fem ghei at all lol he was more like a closeted DL thug guy.
