Not necessarily. Kpop is a fast moving industry. You should know that, I'm almost positive that many young Kpop new listeners don't even know much about BoA or who she is or was. The idol groups have already taken over. Hyori will also be following that notion very soon if she does not make her comeback and regain her dignity. (even though what happened wasn't her fault)

Don't worry about Hyori. She will get a #1 even if she releases her single the same week as IU. Big Bang may block her tho.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was way different from the idol songs but it went #1, sold more than 2 million and gave her another triple crown to join her other 7 triple crowns

It was explained by a 6theory user that did a whole bunch of research to determine that digital aggregates was a point system to determine overall revenue. He gave the whole breakdown of each aggregate equating to 3.38 won (.003 USD).

The Boys had high downloads but low aggregates. SM had their dispute with CyWorld, where BGM downloads are 60 cents. Makes sense that without the high cost downloads, their earnings would drop.
