E=MC2 is such a half and half album.

Half of it is terrible and some of Mariah's worst (Touch My Body, Migrate, I'm That Chick, Love Story etc.)
and the other half is amazing (IBLULT, Side Effects, Thanx 4 Nothin', For the Record, I Wish You Well)

and then there's OOC and Bye Bye which is undoubtedly some of her best work.
