I notice that their label has been using chord progressions like that - think of the one in Rambling Girls but modified for a more cutesy song. Kind of interesting in that it's not as predictable, I suppose. You can tell their outfits are likely to cause a problem on stage shows if they're like the ones in the first half of the video - I was practically able to see Lime's panties. That being said, I like their style (particularly in the party scene despite that style being done to death). I feel like Lime sounds like almost every other female rapper in k-pop right now, though...

That's not what I was saying but that's not necessarily wrong to want. I just think things can be more interesting than either dark concept, hip-hop concept or aegyo concept. The groups know that - that's why the good ones rise up to the top and do well. Like I said, I wasn't insulting Hello Venus, but I'm not blown away.

I always expect something fresh/experimental from Brown Eyed Girls and Sunny Hill tbh. And I love it when some groups change their concepts. For example, I still prefer cute Dal shabet, but I liked how they changed their style for a moment in "Hit U".
Spica and B.A.P also did a debut WAY DIFFERENT from the last year cute ones.
I have to give Spica and B.A.P. a lot of credit. Being on a minor label, it's actually smarter to try and stand out. Spica had fantastic vocals and a style of song that was usually reserved for types like B.E.G. or such. B.A.P. came through with a more rock influenced, aggressive sound than most male groups recently and ended up benefiting greatly from it, even surpassing EXO in popularity. I'm happy about them both tbh.
