jk i dont actually mind it. Lou does it too near the end. So I think it's actually part of the harmony of the final version to make it sound more raspy

The technical term for it is vocal fry I think. I do it when covering harry's parts in songs to sound like him. It's something someone can practice and choose whether to sing with.
