If Applause flops, Gaga will be DONE. I wont burn my stan card but I will never be as hard fan as I am now. I am starting to feel that the chick has become so serious in what she is doing. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like BTW but she is not the same person as she started back in 2008. And if ARTPOP is ANYTHING like BTW I can se her flopping hard and becoming Lana Del Rey 2. Her music has changed, her lyrics have become so incomprehensible for the casual listener. Even her songwriting style has changed and that was only because of her fans. Sometimes I wish Gaga wasnt so close to her fans( monsters). BUT I will judge when I her the album

If you are only here for her success. You might as well just leave. You are apart of that group that WANTS her to do this and WANTS her to do that. But if that's not what she wants then maybe you should just jump? What's the point in creating false hope, only to sit there and whine about "risks" and "flopping". Yeah you should want her to have success, but none of y'all even care if the music is good. What ever happened to that? Why does everything have to be linked to BTW (which y'all claim is a terrible era) which was the 2nd most successful world wide album of 2011 and the 3rd most successful in the United States? You guys are being BLINDED by her past successes and achievements, you are not allowing her to be the artist, and you are not allowing her to do her work. I'm not the one to go overtly aggressive on people who casually dislike Gaga, everyone has their opinions. But some of you are letting things that just don't matter get the best of you.
Just remember that none of those things are forever. The 15 minutes of FAME is real y'all.

Lol, I am not here only for success. The most important thing is the music. But success matters too. I dont like it when others make fun of her because her singles didn't do well and this kind of stuff. I want her to be ON THE TOP once again. Maybe BTW was a success in terms of numbers but it turned her off from the GP.The only thing I want is her to make music as good as The Fame Monster. Thats it. The success will come.

I liked her music and lyrics pre-BTW way better but what can you do. And I know what you mean with her being too close. It really destroys the mystery surrounding her entire persona.

It's not your job to defend her if people call her a flop or something. It's not your job to represent her for the GP. Be a fan, take a seat, listen to the music, enjoy the videos, even go to the concerts.
But I'm sick and tired of fans acting like her freaking PR agent.

It's fine to want her to have success but that's not the issue. There are clearly other options if you want number 1's and if you want yearly album releases. Everyone wants her to be on top again. A lot of the people that "drag" her are the people that used to stan for her the hardest. Born This Way did exactly what she wanted it to do. It got under people's skin. Was it the album of the decade? Nah, Could it have been? Probably not LOL, but in reality what you're doing is setting yourself up to be disappointed.

I understand where the good sis HML is coming from, but as far as her flopping/other fans dragging/chart positions go, they really shouldn't matter to your relationship with the artist. if you like the music, the videos, the performances and everything else, then other peoples' views and the state of her success aren't relevant. even gaga herself has said multiple times that if she weren't famous/successful and could keep all of her true fans, she would be fine with that. as a fan you should be fine with it too. everyone has a different connection with her though, so I'm not gonna fault you for it.
