Welcome apprentices to your very first challenge! Music festivals are taking over the world, it seems like every weekend there is a new one going on. You know how much of a profit they must make? So this is your first task. To come up with your own music festival. Your festival must consist of at least 20 artist per team. No three teams may have the same artist.

Each team is to select:

One Project Manager - He/She/They will be over seeing the entire group, organizing everyone's pieces and submitting it to me. He/She/They will also be picking the artist in the thread that they choose. Be careful though, because a good festival is cohesive. You wouldn't see EDM artist at a Country Music Festival would you? So before you rush to pick, talk to your teams first. The Project manage will PM me the entry.

Two Organizers - The organizers duty will be set up the time slots for each performer. No one likes going to a festival where two popular artist are playing at the same time do they? It's happened to me a couple time and it blows! So be smart about who your most popular artist are compared to your least and when you want to schedule them as well as your headliners!

One Promoter - The promoters job is to creatively advertise and present the festival to the public. Think those Coachella and Lollapalooza posters advertising all the artist and stuff. Work with the organizers to makes sure everything fits with their scheduling !!

One Advertiser - The final task will be to give your festival some advertisement! Tell us why we want to go to your festival, this is a very open ended assignment and can range from an article describing your festival, posters or anything you can think of.

Each of you MUST work together to make this work. Only the project manage will be submitting the full entry to me, and that must contain:

Name of your festival
A full list of your performers
The schedule
Something advertising it

The rest of the team MUST also submit a paragraph of how your team worked together, in your own opinion (these won't be posted but may be brought up).

Some Tips:

- Project manager, you will be automatically in the bottom 3 if your team loses, so choose wisely
- Judges will be looking for: how cohesive your festival is, creativity, has it been done before, and the list of artist you choose.
- To easier communicate creating a tinychat, dubtrack.fm, or a Googles Doc can help you all talk to one another without the hassles of PM's.
