At first I was like "what is this trash ", and everytime I hear it, I just don't know how to feel. I don't hate it - although I could do without the talky chorus. Her accent on the 2nd verse reminds me of something - for some reason, I have Jungle Book in my mind but don't know why. The pre-chorus gives me serious sister act teas. It's just a complete mess all over like it's five different songs... but it works?

Finally listened to this song and honestly I don't get all the hate.
I think it's a fun song and I agree it's like 20 songs in one but that's the most interesting thing.
It's catchy, I love her spoken choruses, and the bass sounds like Trouble for Me but somehow it sounds fresh, not dated. I think she's trying to pull all of the old sounds in one album and I think it's cute and shows her diversity. I could do without the high pitched ''Turn the bass up'' though. Another complain is that I don't think this album will be diverse lyric-wise, all the songs talk about good she is and how fine she is all by herself. Queen of self-empowerment, I guess?
