No, modern day Christmas has little to do with Jesus or else you wouldn't have Atheists celebrating it. Just like the pagan holidays morphed into Christmas, the Christian Christmas has morphed into Xmas, a time to give gifts, party, celebrate Santa Claus, go on a vacation, & take a few days off of work.
Though if you're really adamant about Atheists celebrating "your day" you could always have a petition started to call it something else.

CNN recently posted a story that had ties to your suggestion of chrisitan labeling, basically saying that today most christians are not actually "christians", but some form of christian mutants...Again, not surprising considering they blissfully ignore large portions of the bible.
But i'd rather they remain "mutants" than following the bible literally, seeing as how i'm against widespread murder, slavery, and the punishment of those who refuse to relax on Sunday's ![:D](http://www.atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

December 25th is ancient pagan holiday of sol invictus, concurring winter solstice.
Christian canonization is adopted from the dietification rite of Euhemerus.
Holy communion is borrowed from the Aztecs.
The concept of self-sacrifice, which centers the whole Bible, has its roots from the ancient tradition of Quetzalcoatl. ![Angelo](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/atrlers/angelo_zps911317d1.gif)

the point is, they technically shouldn't. Just like most Jews and Muslims don't celebrate Christmas. But whatever. It's still Christmas and people are still singing SILENT NIGHT and GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN

Once again you've left me baffeled..... How exactly can i be mocking the event if i'm accurately describing it? That's like saying a person is mocking Rosie Odonnel if they call her fat... In fact, the only way for it to be percieved as an insult is if that person inherently believes it's such a thing...
Like fatness.....and virgin births..... sure we aren't on to something
...........

And Christians are also putting evergreen trees in their house, which-

Pagan traditions: Many Pagan cultures used to cut boughs of evergreen trees in December, move them into the home or temple, and decorate them. Modern-day Pagans still do

Does that mean they're celebrating another God?

Finally I have some backup lol.
I'm not staying has to believe in God, and It doesn't bother me if they don't. But what bothers me is that some of you have NO respect that I do believe in God. Don't treat me like I'm some ignorant dumbass because I follow a religion. Some of the smartest people in the world believed in God, so please just respect that.

According to Christian lore, the Christmas tree is associated with St Boniface and the German town of Geismar. Sometime in St Boniface's lifetime (c. 672-754) he cut down the tree of Thor in order to disprove the legitimacy of the Norse gods to the local German tribe. St. Boniface saw a fir tree growing in the roots of the old oak. Taking this as a sign of the Christian faith, he said "...let Christ be at the center of your households..." using the fir tree as a symbol of Christianity.

Christmas tree decorating began in 16th Century Germany...
