From a PR standpoint, Sony hasno choice but at the same time it sets a dangerous precedent. I still think that Luke should get his day in court. Whilst I do find Kesha's testimony credible, I'm not a fan of trial by social media on serious allegations.

I kinda agree with you.
I mean, at the end of the day, Luke hasn't been "convicted" of anything, at least not yet. Luke could sue Sony if they decide to breach the contract. That's why the "insider" said it has to be a mutual decision. For now, all Sony wants is get away for the backlash.
To answer to your question; no, he hasn't been "dropped" yet. And by "drop", it means they CONSIDER to end the contractual obligation with Kemosabe and the working relationship with Dr. Luke. He could still work with them in the future, it's just that Kemosabe would be done. So the artists signed under Kemosabe have an unclear future. I don't think Sony have the obligation to recuperate those artists, especially if they haven't been proven really "successful" (except Kesha of course). And the Kesha situation is more complex than the others.
