Idris Elba seems like a lock for Supporting Actor so i don't think they'll nominate any POC for Best Actor just for the sake of being PC especially since they also got Chris Rock (how transparent lol) to host this year.
The problem with The Revenant is that Leo barely has any lines so he overacts to compensate that. He will probably win because he is overdue even if this is no performance to get nominated yet alone win.
And yeah they're dong a bit too much with the whole "We went through a lot to shoot this" schtick

Michael Fassbender deserves that Lead Actor win and no one should question it, he was great in Slow West and Macbeth too and better than Leo in each and every one of them. However I am still hoping for Michael Caine to pull through, he is better than anyone in the race. And I hope they don't nominate Will Smith for the sake of nominating a POC, he doesn't deserve to be there.
