At the end of the day, every singer with a presence outside of their music is a "celebrity"... Some get more attention than others even when they weren't trying to and some don't... but such is life.

Beyonce has been this game for 17 years and still having huge success where others who stared out with her have faded. It's called longevity.

The most grammy nominated female artist of ALL TIME doesn't agree. She's sold over 200 million records during her career, female artist of the 2000s decade. And is the most awarded artist alive.

I think this decade it was the transition of beyonce the singer to beyonce the celeb. You're right all her major music achievements come from the last decade.

Beyoncé has a ton of power to her name, but very little of that is because of her music at the moment. 4 was a relative flop, BEYONCE only sold thanks to her name and the hype (since no music was released ahead of the album drop). Whether her fans like it or not, Beyoncé is more known for being who she is than for her music these days.
Even her Superbowl performance was overshadowed by her team trying to get pictures removed off the internet.
It's jealousy stemming from the fact that outside of the quick lil singles their faves have, no one really cares for them. Meanwhile Beyonce can go months without officially working and still be in the headlines. That's not even an opinion. It's a fact.
