Katy Perry - This Is How We Do
from "Prism" Listen here
Let's be honest, the video for it made me like it much more than I already did. Definitely the best one of the Prism era. The song itself is hella catchy and the lyrics are surely not a masterpiece but fun to sing along!
Second out of four appearances by Katy Perry.

Lorde - Tennis Court
from "Pure Heroine" Listen here
Magic atmosphere and killer R&B beats. This and (what's to come) definitely outdid Royals for me.
Another song which potential has been greatly increased by the video, that I consider one of her best. The song itself blends different genres and it does that perfectly. Definitely a highlight!

Charli XCX - Boom Clap
from "Sucker" Listen here
Her breakthrough solo hit is both extremely radio-friendly yet unique and fitting to Charli's artistry. That's what helped it in its rise.
Second out of three appearances by Charli XCX.

Katy Perry - Birthday
from "Prism" Listen here
Its lyrics video, promoted to official video, is v cute Katy never fails to deliver the perfect pop tunes and this is another of them. Except for the fact that final "Happy birffday!" is really creepy.
Third out of four appearances by Katy Perry.

Beyoncé - Pretty Hurts
from "BEYONCÉ" Listen here
The most pop-leaning and traditionally Beyoncé-ish song on the record earned an undeserved flop. Sia's songwriting and Bey's vocal performance are great on this.
Today I'm planning to post the Close Calls for the Top 10 Albums and maybe tomorrow I'll post both the Top 10s. Or maybe one tomorrow and another in 2 days. I'll see later!

I pretty much loved everything in the Top 40 and I swear, everything is so close
Before revealing the final 10 songs of my list, I'll start revealing the albums I listened to the most during this year, so don't be surprised if there are some album that were released towards the end of 2013. I had originally a Top 50 but I'm gonna go with the Top 20 since the section is about to close and the activity keeps getting worse.
Motion... well, only 3-4 amazing tracks, the rest is trash (specially Pray To God, I really can't stand that boring song )
Really? I think it's the most interesting and well-executed collaboration on the album. Both Haim and Calvin brought somethin to the table and the mix is really good to me
