Afterlife is a fantastic song! I love Boom Clap
Anaconda is my guilty pleasure I'm Not The Only One is finally growing on me
Animals is incredible! and All Of Me was a grower this year, I used to hate that song
Can't wait for top 50!

The song is really cute with a really colorful music video. The lyrics are trash though. Katy Perry definitely knows how to tickle my pop bubble.
2013: Mika / Ariana Grande - Popular Song 2012: Kesha - Die Young 2011: Avril Lavigne - Smile

I know I'm gonna get lots of backlash on this but I think this is Nicki Minaj's best song ever. The delivery of Nicki is just out of this world on this song. THIS is what should The Pinkprint have been. Minimalist production with Nicki's angry side rapping over it. I'm still obsessed with the song until now. Nicki, we want this. THIS.
2013: Vampire Weekend - Unbelievers 2012: Selena Gomez and the Scene - Hit The Lights 2011: Bruno Mars - Grenade

Not really crazy about their album but I am so glad they released We Sink as a single. It's just amazing, definitely one of their best songs.
2013: Imagine Dragons - Radioactive 2012: Jay-Z / Kanye West / Frank Ocean - No Church in the Wild 2011: Mumford and Sons - Little Lion Man

Partition is my least fave songs on BEYONCE. I love the production but it goes on with nothing. I love Yonce though and the french part but other than that, it's just another Beyonce song that sounds like a filler track.
2013: Bastille - Things We Lost in the Fire 2012: Example - Changed the Way You Kissed Me 2011: Taylor Swift - The Story of Us

From one Destiny's Child member to another which features the other two. Surprise! Michelle Williams makes an entry and above Beyonce! Wooo! Never thought we'd see the day, eh? I really love the funky and upbeat production on this song. We need more of this, Michelle!
2013: Taylor Swift - 22 2012: Bon Iver - Perth 2011: Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks

The last entry by Tegan and Sara, Drove Me Wild. Heartthrob is one of the most underrated pop albums of the decade. It shines from the start to the end. Amazing. I've seen some flack with them changing their sound but honestly, I only discovered them because of Heartthrob so I can still say without bias and without nostalgia that this is one of the best pop albums of the decade so far.
2013: Rihanna - Pour It Up 2012: Azealia Banks - Liquorice 2011: Avril Lavigne - What The Hell

Quite surprised this song is low since I'm a huge Britney fan. Honestly, I prefer the Dream Remix of the song and moreso the Club Martini Crew stripped version with Sia. Both versions show more emotion than the original. The song writing is great but the production was a little overkill. I still like the song and I will forever defend Britney Jean from the bandwagon hate.
2013: Mariah Carey / Miguel - Beautiful 2012: The Pretty Reckless - You 2011: Jessie J / B.o.B - Price Tag

One of my favorite songs of 2013-14. It's definitely inside the Top 20. The song stayed for 21+ weeks in the chart. Why? Because it was consistently one of my favorite songs when it was released. It peaked at #11 because there were certain songs I like more than this back then but this one just goes on and on and on. This is such an amazing song and I'm recommending the song to anyone. I believe this is the highest song to chart in 2014 that charted last year. Great job, The National. I'm looking forward for the next record.
The song writing is just beyond incredible. This is one of the songs that have given chills. I think the only one that gives me more is Shake Me Down by Cage the Elephant.
All of my thoughts of you
Bullets through rock and through
Come apart at the seams
Now I know what dying means
I am not my rosy self
Left my roses on my shelf
Take the wild ones, they're my favorites
It's the side effects that save us
That's my favorite part of the song. Just deep, well thought and striking.
2013: Rihanna - Diamonds 2012: The Shins - It's Only Life 2011: Paramore - Playing God

Best rock song of the year! Yes? Yes! Royal Blood for me just makes the perfect formula for me for rock music. Something hard but not too jarring for my listening experience. I love every bit of this song. Their album and songs are growers so if you tried to listen to them and didn't like it, I recommend giving them another try, and another. Last song by the band. Not bad for being a countdown rookie!
2013: The xx - Fiction 2012: Pitbull / Chris Brown - International Love 2011: Dev - In the Dark

Wrapping up the list is one of the best MC's of our generation, KING. Kendrick Lamar. 'i' was a surefire hit for me. But Kendrick, where the **** is your album? Go and do it, now!
That's it guys. I have one more week to finish this ****. Hopefully I would.
Here are what's gonna go down on the next updates:
1/25 = 40-21
1/26 = 20-16
1/27 = 15-11
1/28 = 10-7
1/29 = 6-5
1/30 = 4-3
1/31 = 2-1
(Adjustments will be made if deadline is earlier or in some ways, I get too busy again but I will finish this, I promise!)
This is How We Barf. Lookin Ass is not bad actually. We Sink is one of my faves from the album and Lauren's vocals melts my ears as it goes well with that sound to get amused by. Partition is hot sex! Putting over Michelle, huh? Say Yes is a fun and catchy song. I admit that I like Perfume. Graceless, what a bone-chilling that is. Loved it. I should've put it on my top 200 last year. The National are really good with this type of sound and make it work to actually feel for it. What a jam Figure it Out. I regret not listening to this song and I would;ve love to put it on my countdown. Damn. i made me appreciate life and learn to love myself. Good work, King Lamar. I do hope that you will finish this and hope I do too.
That Filler track should be thankful she's inside the Top 50. If it wasn't for Yoncslé included in Floptition, the song wouldn't even be inside the Top 100.
I haven't listened to Michelle Williams or Tegan and Sarah enough to be too opinionated on them, but I like or love everything else in this update.
Nice to see Perfume and Looking Ass get some love. I feel Looking Ass got swept under the rug just a little but on everyone's best ofs because it wasn't on The Pinkprint.
