Tell Lil Debbie to see Iggy on top of Billboard. oh wait..
Lil Debbie shouldn't be challenging nobody to do **** lol. She should try to chart on Billboard before she comes out of her mouth, I can't stand her lol. She's a hater w/ no cause like she's clearly mad Iggy's where she wants to be lmfao
Debbie wasnt being rude at all. The amount of bulling in here is disgusting and over a chick whose sophomore album will FLOP and as Azealia Banks said "A-yo, A-yo,
I heard you ridin' with the same tall, tall tale
Tellin' em you made some
Sayin' you runnin' but you ain't goin' no where Why you procrastinate girl?
You got a lot but you just waste all yourself
They'll forget your name soon
And won't nobody be to blame but yourself, yeah
What you gone do when I appear?
W-when I premier?
Bitch the end of your life are near
This **** been mine, mine"
nnnn everyone at my UC knows the song, but Ok. Maybe you want to be a bit more specific because people in the public definitely know the song, not the whole public but clearly the song is known if it's gold with no airplay and has almost 100 million views
This turned into the mess. Anyways it'll be interesting to see how she does with her new found exposure with a song that doesn't have a huge pop hook by a singer. I wonder if pop radio will be as receptive to her then.
I really can't afford the WPs that this thread is begging for so I'll just say that this 'Lil Debbie' person shouldn't be talking about getting any form of solo hit when her only claim to fame is being the hype girl in an already long forgotten female rapper's music video
The funny thing to me is that everyone seems to forget this: Rappers who do not sing usually have a singer singing the hooks for them. Even rappers(especially mainstream rappers) always have collaborations with singers or other rappers but I guess y'all forget that.
Name Jay Z's biggest hits in the past 6 years?
Empire state of mind, Run this town, Holy Grail, ****** in Paris... oh what are they? oh yeah collabos. TI's Dead and gone, Live your life OH wow collabos. Eminem..Love the way you lie, the monster collabos.
All of macklemores singles.
Pitbull & Flo Rida(most of their hits are collabos). Lil Wayne's most recent hits have been collabos(with Drake) BOB's first album(pop album) was all collabos.
Ty Dolla sign- Paranoid, or nah (all collabos)
Kid Ink(his two hits with Chris Brown)
YG- Mi *****, Who do you love and his new single-oh guess what? all collabos!!
And I could go on and on so IDK why yall so worried about how Iggy gets her hits since she's clearly not the only one.
Big Sean- My last, the song with Kanye, Dance(ass) collabos
T.I.: Whatever You Like is solo
Eminem: Not Afraid, Berzerk & Rap God are solo.
Lil Wayne: How To Love
B.o.B: So Good
EDIT: only Flo Rida collab hit since 2010 is Wild Ones
Nicki's only real hit without an assist though is "Starships" which isn't even rap. And "Pound the Alarm" isn't rap either.
I suppose "Your Love" kind of counts, but the Annie Lennox sample steals the show and I'm pretty sure if "Work" got a proper release it would do about the same success-wise.
This seems like such a lame argument in the first place. This is Iggy's second single from her debut album.
*gets signed to a major label* *work becomes a hit in the UK* "iggy will never get another hit anywhere else! 212 will be bigger than anything she releases even bigger than Work!"
*gets a string of top 20s in the UK (work, bounce, change your life)* "iggy is only big in europe!!!"
*fancy smashes in australia & the usa* "she's a 1 hit wonder!!! she won't get another hit!!!"
*fancy, problem, work, no medicore & black widow all chart on the hot 100* "only fancy and problem are top 10s!!!"
*black widow goes top 10* "she needs features to do well!!"
*has a solo song that is gold and nearing 100m views on vevo*
"its not platinum so it isnt a hit! it doesnt matter that it was released before she had a us label!! or that it will be certified platinum from streaming(?) soon!"
people keep doing too much on her. no one complained that macklemore had someone singing the hook on all of his #1s last year or that eminem's last 3 singles all had someone singing the hooks
