When I think of popstars who can successfully pull off an entertaining-non-stop-8-or-so-minute medley of hits, Rihanna and Katy just don't come to my mind. Katy doesn't do choreo, so her performance would be eight minutes of her lip syncing with fireworks shooting off in the background. Rihanna has shown us that she can do some choreo, but as of late she has been putting absolutely no effort into what she does. Katy gets winded after moving her arms and Rihanna half-asses her performances because of her "I don't care" schtick. It would be a trainwreck for either of these women to take the stage simply because they're not good performers, though Rihanna is the better out of the two when she puts effort into being on stage.
Coldplay is the safest bet because not only do they have good songs but their demographic intersects that of the Super Bowl's demographic. It'll be interesting to see who is chosen at the end of the day.

I can understand asking for some type of compensation because of how big the promotion is, but asking for post-show tour revenue.
Mess.
