It's been in the top 5 on hot digital songs for two months. It will be four million in sold downloads by next week. People automatically assumed that this song would have no digital life because it had been selling well before it became an official single. Six months later after its release, it is still selling well and relatively better than most lead singles. Did people really expect the video to have an effect on sales when it was already at 3.5 million downloads? This is similar to The Monster with the exception being that Dark Horse has much more longevity.
It's steady on overall airplay. It just got sent to Urban radio this week, and the gains there are canceling out the losses on other formats.
It's steady in streams. The song was streaming 5-7 million before the video, and it is now streaming about 8-9 million weekly with the video, yet you said that the video has done nothing for the song.
It's in its 25th week on the Hot 100 and is still logged in the top ten on the Hot 100 after losing only 12% of its Hot 100 points from last week.
Am I missing something? How is it "declining surprisingly fast" when data suggests otherwise?
