^ I was close too, it was about 45 minute train ride for me. There are 3 options for getting on TRL. You can e-mail
[email protected] and basically tell them you want to be on TRL. They will e-mail you back asking you for some info and then they will likely give you tickets to get on an episode on TRL, however it won't be your choice of what episode this way.
Option 2 is e-mailing to the same e-mail asking them what episodes are they casting for and then pick out one you like, however the good ones fill up fast so it is somewhat difficult to get exactly the one you want. I had inside information on this episode so I sent the e-mail to them before the casting info was made public.
Option 3 is just showing up at the TRL studios on 45th and Broadway on the day of taping and go on the standby list. There is always people who don't show up so if you are one of the first on standby, you will likely get in.
