She released a LP last year to a 75/100 on metacritic. She has a career - albeit not mainstream, but she still has it. And nevertheless, she still has experience in the industry from her peak.

A peak that lasted for six months. But maybe that album she has released will finally be bubbling under the first 3000 after Miley has given her some free promo.

Even still, being obese is a serious problem. Sometimes obese people may have to hear it for it to really sink in, in order for them to effect change in their life. No one wants to hear something negative being said about them, but if its plainly obvious to anyone who looks at you, to fain insult is cowardly. You should admit your problems, or defend them, not fire back immature jabs at those that pointed it out.

They know this. Its nothing but faux outrage. But congrats to Sinead. Back in the news today, back to the pop scrap heap tomorrow.

It's not a secret to anyone that she has been selling her body/sex. She was fingering herself at the VMAs. She's been swinging naked on a wrecking ball, and on a cover of a magazine topless licking her armpit. These are all things she chose to do, and knew the audience it'd get.
How are you going to act offended after doing all that when someone expresses concern about you taking it too far?
|
Miley isn't a prostitute, that's how!
Is Beyonce a prostitute? Is Rihanna a prostitute? Is Katy a prostitute? Is Gaga a prostitute? Are models prostitutes? All of them use sexuality and their bodies for profit.

No, she basically said that Miley was "whoring herself out", which is an expression.

What is the noun form of "whoring". What is the euphemism for that?

Miley's doing this all for promotional reasons, which is fine, but don't act like those two are even a bit alike. Bringing up Sinéad's career trajectory or "relevance" is completely irrelevant and proves you have absolutely no valid arguments against what she actually said to Miley. You're resorting to bitter ad hominem and it's pretty petty.
I could say the same for Miley

Sorry, but aren't you the dude that made a thread about this girl in your avi being more successful than Lana del Rey just because she was featured on a song that went No.1? Srsly dude, sit down.

I'm sure that Sinead's letter would apply to the other girls you've mentioned too. It's just that Miley is taking it really far. While the other girls (mostly) look sexy, dance sexy, and express sexuality they don't go to as crass and obviously attention seeking places that Miley has. There is a difference between sexuality and sensuality.

The ironic part being in relation to the original statement.
Miley tried it and ATRL and soon, the rest of the world, will drag that ungrateful child.

It's like not helping somebody who's clearly insecure and when they commit suicide, everyone just says "Well we didn't ~know." Being a bystander to a problem and not trying to fix it is just as bad as laughing at it.
And Rihanna body shames & insults people's appearances on the DAILY. There's even a thread for it. Insults are insults, you can't decide which ones are acceptable and which ones aren't. What Miley said was offensive, but the overreactions & biased arguments are too much.
|
I agree that it shouldn't have required confirmation, but there were plenty of people here who thought Amanda was trying to regain relevance. Which was stupid and I pointed that out back then. But that's irrelevant. There was nothing we COULD do to help Amanda. Even her parents wanted to get her help but until she set her neighbor's driveway on fire no one had the legal authority to make her get help. It's the same as during Britney's breakdown.
To my knowledge, Rihanna doesn't insult people who haven't insulted her first, and even then she doesn't insult people who doesn't have complete control over their mental facilities.

Miley stans.
I know you know it's okay to admit when Miley's done wrong. She isn't perfect. She will do wrong at one point. Maybe she hasn't yet but in the future it's going to happen. She's human. You're human. You have an opinion. You're not less of a Miley fan for disagreeing with her actions. It's okay to stan for her talent not her antics.

Shut up. I admitted five pages ago I thought this was a mess. I agree that it's tacky as hell.

No, that wasn't me. And even if it had been, you still completely ignored what I said because you know you have no valid rebuttal and you know Miley is completely in the wrong here. Srsly dude, sit down.

It's about boundaries though. I'm sure if there was a percieved issue about you (even if you felt it was untrue) and comments like this were directed your way, you would take them more seriously if they were from close family or friends than acquaintances. Now imagine total strangers chiming in lol

And this is when I'm over her. Dragging someone's mental issues when you are that famous and have that kind of platform is tacky. But tacky doesn't worry her, judging by her VMA's performnce.

That's not cute drag or a clapback when did this woman come for her? Going as low as making fun of someones mentally unstable? Are you ****ing serious? I thought it was an actual drag or at least something witty but this is downright disgraceful and disgusting.
