These two retirements mean that Beyonce's gonna make a sickening jump, but that might help Ne-Yo and Pink out a lot too.
I'll be ok with it as long as Nelly and Beyonce get off right now or don't make a big jump. They're really taking up space now for like 4-5 weeks at this point.
But as long as P.O.D. is #1, then it won't matter what happens cuz that will make up for it. (Plz POD top the chart today!)
It's been a really long time since I watched TRL from start to finish. I remembered that someone was going to retire so that is why I watched TRL on Monday, February 6, 2006.
My take on the TRL countdown.
10.Black Eyed Peas - Pump It (1st Day/Debut/Peak:10)
This looks like a cool dance video. The lyrics of the song seem to speak of not much besides dancing and turning up the volume on a radio. Good music for the club, but not much depth to the lyrics, unlike some other BEP songs I know.
09.Beyonce - Check On It (17th Day/=/Peak:07)
I have to say Beyonce looks very pretty in the pink sweater. Beyonce at her most glamorous.
08.Pink - Stupid Girls (4th Day/-1/Peak:06)
I found this video funny, but unkind to the girls who want to look like celebrities. Pink makes a point in this song and video.
07.Nelly f/ Paul Wall - Grillz (20th Day/-2/Peak:04)
If they didn't sing about dental jewelry, they would sing be singing about chrome engine grills on fancy cars, not about barbecue grills.
06.The All-American Rejects - Move Along (11th Day/+4/Peak:04)
This video moves as fast as the song. The lead singer seldom wears the same shirt for more than one second at a time in the video.
05.Ne-Yo - So Sick (7th Day/+1/Peak:05)
I'm tired of love songs too.
04.Ashlee Simpson - L.O.V.E (28th Day/=/Peak:01[7])
I'd like to call the fashion cops to bust up Ashlee's party in the video. I'm sure they'd give just about all the girls tickets to buy some good clothes.
03.P.O.D - Goodbye For Now (7th Day/=/Peak:03)
I still haven't seen all of the video. Sonny still looks the same as he did in the video for "Alive." It will take a few more listens to decide if I still like P.O.D. like I did during the "Alive" era.
02.Mariah Carey - Don't Forget About Us (50th Day/-1/Peak:01[6])*RETIRED*
I think this is the third video of hers to retire on TRL. I wouldn't be surprised if Mariah's next video retired.
01.Madonna - Hung Up (50th Day/+1/Peak:01[10])*RETIRED*
A disco song retired on TRL for the first time that I remember.
