Don't bring this comparison up in Bieber threads please. Katy had 8 top 5 singles in the US, all of which had decent to great longevity, to boost her album sales, and yet she only managed to barely beat out Gaga stateside and sold less than BTW worldwide.



And we all know Bieber has decent longevity, even with just moderate singles success his album will end up above 2 million.

It's not Katy's fault Gaga's singles flopped or underperformed. Meanwhile, BTW dissapeared from the charts and TD still selling and is Top 50.

Born This Way had outsold Teenage Dream in the US after 2 months of being released It also outsold it worldwide. Then it got re-released. AND its album sales are not impressive considering it had so many smash hits (which are actually meant to promote the album). General Public wants to buy her fast-food hits instead of a whole album, they're just not interested. I think it's sad because Katy wants to be taken seriously but the GP just won't What's more important, a 1.29$ single or a 13$ album, or even a 60$ tour ticket?

Stop giving me single sales receipts because it's overused, it's the only thing you guys can back up with.
