German film score composer Hans Zimmer makes his debut on the chart with "Aurora," a charity single written for the benefit of those who were victims of the shooting in Colorado. As it debuts at the apex of the chart, it dethrones Ellie Goulding's "Lights," which slides down 1-4.
The song integrates chord progressions and other musical elements from the film score of The Dark Knight Rises, paying respect to the victims who lost their lives in the theater during the film.
