3:29-3:31 will always be my favorite part of the entire song. I mean, it all gets to me but that part just really ****ing gets to me.
I still can't believe she's gone.
Now, I don't understand why you only posted one Céline Dion song. There's plenty more with way more difficult notes to hit than, say, any Beyoncé link you posted.
i hate when ppl act so pretentious & act like Celine, Mariah, & Whitney were all singing in some magical octave & hitting notes that no other singer can hit.
& Kelly ****ing Clarkson? No ma'am. Not tonight.
No singer after them can hit their best notes though, that's why the media named them "The VOCAL Trinity". The three of them did it better than everyone else and have even snatched each other on different occasions. Beyonce's practically a technically perfect singer, but she's not exceptional. No one could belt like Whitney, no one had the lung capacity of Celine, and whistling is nearly synonymous with Mariah.
That's why people act so "pretentious" when it comes to the three of them, if I'm being completely honest.
I do agree with you on Kelly Clarkson though maybe her tone doesn't just doesn't appeal to me, but I think she's over-esteemed.
I don't know why Bey stans can't just be content with Bey being one of the best our time. Why must she be better than the greats? Why must she be numero uno? The BeyHive's insecurity is appalling and seems like a cry for help. Poor things
They are all overrated and held highly because they were KNOWN for being vocalists and only that. None of them danced, none of them performed, and none of them sang fast paced dance songs. We all know that the average person thinks belting loud means you can sing better than anyone and everyone when that is NOT true. They are all AMAZING vocalists, we know that and would never deny it. But Mariah has NEVER been a great live singer after the Emotions era, Whitney was always a 85% great live singer, and Celine sings the same damn songs and tends to get nasally at times.
Like I said a few pages ago, she can sing EVERYTHING they can sing and probably better, you probably didn't think Kelly Rowland could sing Fantasy but she did it right in front of Mariah the other night and surprised everyone including me. And I may be young but I have studied singing for a very long time and Ive heard all of the girls being mentioned various times minus Celine ().
You're extra hard on Beyonce and always will be and thats fine, cause we know that no one is touching her technique except Whitney in her prime.
It's not insecurity, it's our opinion just like that one about the 90s trinity is yours.
Is that so hard to accept?
Not at all and yall can have that. But it has to be an insecurity because in every thread that I post in, its always some Bey stan trying to prove that she's the Queen of Music and that just isn't so. She doesn't have the receipts to back up HALF the claims that yall make. Its just unbelievable But dew dew!!

I agree with everything you said except that. Mariah has had tones of great performances post- Emotions era.
But you did leave out that Celine barely ever sings live anymore.

i know what you're saying & I can agree somewhat. But like you said, they each had their individual strengths & so does Beyoncé. She can go head-to-head with them with her own strengths, imo.
Can Whitney not compete with Mariah cuz she didn't whistle? Could Celine not compete with Whitney cuz she doesn't belt like Whitney? Can Minnie Ripperton not be compared to them because she's not ~in the trinity. What about Aretha Franklin? Does Beyoncé beat them all because she is a perfectly technical singer? No, that's not what I'm saying at all. Ppl just love to be offended because it's comparing a new generation singer to old generation ones, but the older ones are not impossible to match or beat.
DEATH @ you taking my sarcasm to heart. jgfjgjsjs My point was clearly made since your pressed ass just re-posted it. YASS check for ALL of my posts. Read each one and LEARN sis, maybe one day you'll be as great as me.
LMAO @ "insults"....... what kinda OVER sensitive Oprah episode is this?
Bey has amazing technique and has probably shown the most growth out of anyone vocally over the years. Her voice just gets better with time. But I think it has more to do with heavy vocal training than innate vocal ability unlike her contemporaries. She is still one of the best of her generation though.
Am I the only 1 who thinks that big long note Toni Braxton does near the end of "Unbreak My Heart" is vocally amazing. She mixed the belt with the growl it's powerful.
"Without YOU I JUST CAN'T GO ooOoOOOOooooOOOOooOoOooOoOoOoOONNNn"
