The industry does not consist of just Jessie and her three blind, deaf and drunk gay uncles though Lem.

Let's be honest. The only people Britney inspires are the Heidi Montags, Mandy Moores, and Willa Fords of the industry. Hardly any respectable or credible artists are citing Britney as an influence vocally, performance wise and musically.
Now as for the Queen

BASICALLY. Saying she's never been influenced by them, especially Britney, after the entire media backlash that she received for doing so, is just nonsense.

Name me one thing that Beyonce has done that can be easily interpreted as influenced by Britney.
You can't.

So nothing in Beyonce's 14-year-career has ever been influenced by any pop stars? Okay.

A;akf';dasdk !!!!
How to make your entire tribute into a dedication and introduction to Beyonce? Do we blame her?

Unless its pop, all other genres of music are irrelevant, tho. Or so I was told.

Yuo don't have to cite someone as an influence to be clearly influenced by them.

If you aren't mentioning, MJ, Prince, Donna Summer, Diana Ross, Tina Turner, etc then you are wrong and will remain so. Britney has never influenced her. Stop.

But who took home the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award for their worldwide contributions to pop music?

Maybe, but I don't remember Beyonce trying to be edgy and provocative until the Queen B came along.

"Many young people say bad things about Madonna and Britney Spears, which doesn’t seem fair. Thanks to them, artists like Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Ke$ha, and I, as well as many other artists, exist. They are the two best divas of music. Without them, pop wouldn’t exist today, and because of them, many popstars of today do. I’m thankful for that,”

She isn't saying Beyonce came out before Brit, she's saying Britney's success as a (solo) diva in 2000 opened doors for Beyonce's success as a (solo) diva in 2003. She's wrong, but not because of the dates.
