BEST ALBUMS OF 2011
#10 Snow Patrol
Fallen Empires

|
Snow Patrol became one of my favorite bands this year. I'm glad they made it. Snow Patrol has always been just a good band for me, I never gave much attention to them. This year I stopped to hear more songs of them and I totally fell in love, even after Rock In Rio with one of the best shows of the night. Fallen Empires is simply the second best album of their career, I really love how they can do good songs and great ballads. Called Out In The Dark and This Isn't Everything You Are are one of the best singles of the year.
Favorite Tracks:
1. In the End / This Isn't Everything You Are
2. Lifening / New York
3. Berlin
4. Called Out In The Dark |
#9 Clare Maguire
Light After Dark

|
The album and artists more underrated this year, so far. Why, my lord? I still don't understand. One of the new big thing according to BBC (Jessie J, Vaccines and James Blake too). I really love this woman, I like how her voice looks like Annie Lenox meeting Florence and even Cher. She's so underrated but she has talent and a powerful voice, she really knows how sing with class. If you don't know Clare you should listening to her right now.
Favorite Tracks:
1. Bullet / Freedom / I Surrender
2. This Is Not The End
3. Light After Dark
4. The Last Dance |
#8 Foster the People
Torches

|
Since I heard Helena Beat and Pumped Up Kicks in las year I was hooked and so excited to debut album. I'm very pleased with this album, sometimes some songs reminds me a bit MGMT but it's not bad. Torches is a perfect mixed between indie-pop songs and they're so catchy to hear and dance.
Favorite Tracks:
1. I Would Do Anything For You
2. Helena Beat
3. Pumped Up Kicks
4. Call It What You Want / Don't Stop (Color On The Walls) |
#7 Jessie J
Who You Are

|
This album was supposed to be horrible. Well, I mean, I was so excited to heard this album because Do It Like A Dude and Price Tag was really good. The first time I heard this album was a mess, I just liked a few songs, but as I knew that Jessie was a great singer I kept listening it. After many plays I started to like the whole album, less Mamma Knows Best because it's the worst song ever. I really like how Jessie can do beautiful ballads and I love how she puts the pop, r&b and soul in their music.
Favorite Tracks:
1. Who You Are
2. Rainbow
3. Nobody's Perfect
4. I Need This / L.O.V.E. |
