DEAD! I forgot J. Lo... I guess if I put Kelly Rowland in there, JLo deserves it, too. But Nicki is ineligible... unless her releasing RIM makes her eligible...

Yep. I expect International Female to come down between those two.

Oh, so this changes things a bit.
Take Care, Talk That Talk, Drake, Rihanna, all need to go under international categories?
I get it now.

That is correct. From LA, to be exact.

Ugh, the 3rd spot in the American singles list is so hard. I'm stuck between Motivation and Jar of Hearts.
I feel like I can barely remember the first half of the year though.

If someone (e.g. Kanye, Nicki Minaj, Robyn) released singles in 2011, but not an album, are they still eligible for artist categories?

I love how I have an assload of categories that have two people/songs in it but I can't think of a third.

Atlas Sound (Bradford Cox) would be eligible for Best Male Artist, too! Check out his album Parallax if you're on the fence about best male artist.
Here are some contenders for that:
Bruno Mars ("It Will Rain" makes him eligible, right?)
Skrillex
Atlas Sound
Lil Wayne
Frank Ocean
Tyler, The Creator
A$AP Rocky
Jason Aldean
Scotty McCreery
Brad Paisley
(anyone with other suggestions?)
International is a little easier:
Drake
Justin Bieber
The Weeknd
James Blake
M83
Jamie xx
Michael Bublé
(again, anyone with other suggestion to expand this?)

Actually
Their singles would still be up for Single/International Single, but they'd have to release something not tied to their 2010 work to be eligible for Artist. See Bruno Mars and It Will Rain as the clearest example of this.
