I understand, Mr. P. I understand 100% where you and Dei are coming from, but, again, the bottom line is -- it's another video with religious themes, in just over a year. I understand that The Bible is not covered in two videos, but that is not the point. Just because the "Alejandro" video was shot in a blue hue and the "Judas" video is shot in an ember hue with a different storyline will not make a difference to the general consensus. One thing will be seen: religion. And just because the song is named "Judas" does not mean the music video has to be biblical. She could have made it modern. There are many other possibilities and avenues to take with the song in terms of a music video.

As opposed to the eight videos about dancing and hooking up in a club she could have done? I don't really see the issue here with this alternative.
It is not as if she has developed a weird obsession with some underground niche thing and runs the risk of becoming one-note with it. Religion is a major part of life for billions of people, she herself has a personal history with it in her education (just like Madonna did).
I don't think people will really care about the subject, only if the video is good or not. She could have gone a different route, but I still haven't seen any convincing reason as to why she should have not taken a more literal approach. That is what some of her detractors gripe about, right?
"Well she's singing about Judas and making Biblical references, but this video is set in modern-day NYC! It has nothing to do with the lyrics! It doesn't even mean anything. This bitch is so pretentious."
If the video sucks it'll suck on its own merit due to poor execution, not due to its setting.
